ORDINANCE NO. 1679 E

 

AN ORDINANCE RAISING THE RATES FOR USERS OF WATER FROM THE UTE WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

1. That beginning June 1, 1977, Subsection (1) of Subsection (e) of Section 31-12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read as follows:

 

Sec. 31-12 Meter rates.

 

(e) (1) Rate. Minimum charge (3,000 gallons or less) per month: $6.43.

 

Charge for each 1,000 gallons thereafter shall be $.72 per 1,000 gallons.

 

2. That an emergency exists and this Ordinance is necessary for the peace, health and safety of the citizens of the City of Grand Junction and will become effective upon its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE RAISING THE RATES FOR USER OF WATER FROM THE UTE WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1679 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 18th day of May, 1977.
