ORDINANCE NO. 1689

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF ALLEY WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 

WHEREAS, the portion of alley hereinafter described has been petitioned for vacation; and

 

WHEREAS, such vacation has been approved by the Planning Commission, would not deprive anyone of access to property and would not be detrimental to the inhabitants of the City of Grand Junction:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That the following portion of alley within the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:

 

Beginning at a point on the South line of Lot 5 Block 4 which point is 40 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot 5, thence West along the North line of alley to the Southwest Corner, Lot 1, said Block 4, thence South 20 feet to the Northwest Corner of Lot 10, said Block 4, thence East along the South line of alley to a point South of the Point of Beginning, thence North 20 feet to the Point of Beginning.

 

being a section of the East-West alley in Block 4 Park Place Heights Subdivision, be and the same is, hereby vacated, subject to easements for existing utilities and drainage.

 

PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of July, 1977.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1689, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 15th day of June, 1977, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
