ORDINANCE NO. 1691E

 

AN ORDINANCE RAISING THE RATES FOR USERS OF WATER FROM THE UTE WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

1. That Subsection (e)(1) of Section 31-12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read as follows:

 

Sec. 31-12. Meter rates.

 

(e) (1) Rate:

 

First 3,000 gallons per month $4.20 (minimum)

 

Next 2,000 gallons per month at $1.20 per 1,000 gallons

 

Next 5,000 gallons per month at $2.20 per 1,000 gallons

 

Next 10,000 gallons per month at $4.70 per 1,000 gallons

 

All over 20,000 gallons per month at $1.70 per 1,000 gallons

 

2. That an emergency exists and this Ordinance is necessary for the peace, health and safety of the citizens of the City of Grand Junction and will become effective upon its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE RAISING THE RATES FOR USERS OF WATER FROM THE UTE WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1691 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 6th day of July, 1977.
