ORDINANCE NO. 1722

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS.

WHEREAS, certain contingencies have arisen during the year 1977 which were unforeseen at the time of preparing the budget for that year, or certain sums of money have been received through grants enabling projects to be completed for which the grant monies have not been appropriated;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the following supplemental appropriations are made to the funds indicated from the sources as indicated:

1. An appropriation to the Sanitation Fund in the amount of $45,000.00, $7,786.00 of which is appropriated from monies received through Public Works Employment Act Title II and $37,214.00 of which is appropriated from the General Fund.

2. An appropriation to the Swimming Pools Fund in the amount of $21,700.00 which is appropriated from the following sources in the proportions indicated:

From Swimming Pools Fund - additional revenue - $9,900.00

From Public Works Employment Act Title II - $5,200.00

From General Fund - $6,600.00.

3. An appropriation to the Federal Aid Projects the amount of $13,114.00 from the Public Works Employment Act Title II.

4. An appropriation to the Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $250,000.00 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

5. An appropriation to the Downtown Development Authority in the amount of $20,000.00 from the U.S. Department of Commerce Regional Commission.
