ORDINANCE NO. 1733

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

WHEREAS, on the 16th day of March, 1978, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owner of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the following described territory, to wit:

Part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 7 and part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6, Township 1 South, Range 1 East of the Ute Meridian.

More particularly described as:

The Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 7, Township 1 South, Range 1 East of the Ute Meridian EXCEPT beginning at the Northwest corner of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4; thence South 380 feet, thence East 420 feet, thence North 380 feet; thence West 420 feet to the point of beginning; and EXCEPT beginning 420 feet East of the Northwest corner of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4; thence East 240 feet; thence South 400 feet; thence West 240 feet; thence North 400 feet to the point of beginning.

And Also INCLUDING the North 30 feet of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 and the South 30 feet of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6, Township 1 South, Range 1 East of the Ute Meridian which is the Right of Way of Patterson Road,

be and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of April, 1978.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1733, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 16th day of March, 1978, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
