ORDINANCE NO. 1769

AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY WITHIN THE CITY.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction has been petitioned to vacate an alley hereinafter described; and

WHEREAS, the vacation of said alley has been approved by the Grand Junction Planning Commission and would not deprive anyone of access to property;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the portion of alley situate in the County of Mesa, Colorado, and described as:

Beginning at a point 231.87 feet East and 570 feet North of the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence North to a point 30 feet South of the North line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12, thence West 20 feet, thence South to a point directly West of the point of beginning, thence East 20 feet to the point of beginning,

be and the same is hereby vacated subject to an easement for existing and future utility use.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of October, 1978.
