ORDINANCE NO. 1774

AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING A SEWER PLANT INVESTMENT FEE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That until further order of the Council, there is hereby assessed and shall be collected the sum of $500.00 on each new sewer tap on any sewer line which may be served either by the existing City of Grand Junction sewage treatment plant or by the proposed new sewage treatment plant; such assessment to be included with other such assessments to provide an interim sewage treatment plant in the event one is needed prior to the construction of the new plant to avoid a moratorium on development within the City of Grand Junction and the surrounding area served by the existing plant or to be served by the future plant, toward providing the River Road Interceptor or toward providing the new treatment facility.
