ORDINANCE NO. 1776

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 4th day of October, 1978, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owner of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the following property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:

Commencing at the Northeast 1/16 Section corner, Section 2, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian and the true point of beginning, thence north 89° 57' 30" East along the 1/16 Section line 987.36 feet, thence North 0° 05' East 578.50 feet, thence North 89° 57' 30" East 289.12 feet to the West right of way of 27 Road, thence South 0° 05' West along said right of way 908.35 feet to the South line of the North Half of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter thence South 89° 55' 50" West along aforementioned South line 1270.08 feet to the West line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, thence North 0° 01' East along aforementioned West line 330.46 feet to the Northeast 1/16 corner and the true point of beginning. Also 27 Road right of way on the East;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 1978.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1776, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 4th day of October, 1978, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
