ORDINANCE NO. 1787

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN SUMS OF MONEY TO DEFRAY THE NECESSARY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1979, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1979, AND FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

SECTION 1. That the following sums of money, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated for the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1979, and ending December 31, 1979, said sums to be derived from the various funds as indicated:

For the expenditures of the General Fund . . . 7,530,364.00

For the expenditures of the Streets and Storm Drainage Fund . . . 2,551,533.00

For the expenditures of the Water Fund . . . 1.610,765.00

For the expenditures of the Sanitation Fund . . . 570,543.00

For the expenditures of the Sewer Fund . . . 19,234,661.00

For the expenditures of the Cemetery Fund . . . 141,959.00

For the expenditures of the Land Fund . . . 42,000.00

For the expenditures of the Swimming Pools Fund . . . 982,054.00

For the expenditures of the Lincoln Park Golf Fund . . . 108,145.00

For the expenditures of the Tiara Rado Golf Fund . . . 198,435.00

For the expenditures of the Parking Authority Fund . . . 130,762.00

For the expenditures of the Park Improvement Fund . . . 24,945.00

For the expenditures of the Water-Sewer Bond & Interest Fund . . . 636,903.00

For the expenditures of the Golf Course Expansion Fund . . . 93,101.00

For the expenditures of the State Conservation Trust Fund . . . 40,038.00

Total 1979 $33,896,208.00

The following sum shall be appropriated to the Finance Department, said sum to be derived from charges to various departments using materials stocked in "Stores Inventory" and having printing done by the City printing operation and services rendered by Data Processing.

For Stores, Printing & Data Processing Division in the Finance Department . . . $876,650.00

Revenue from Stores & Printing Fund $411,593.00

Revenue from Data Processing Fund 465,057.00

The following sum shall be appropriated to the Equipment Division, said sum to be derived from equipment rentals to be charged the various departments of the City for use of said equipment from the appropriations of their respective departments.

For Equipment Division in the Public Works Department . . . $1,045,672.00

Revenue from Equipment Fund $579,979.00

Revenue from Equipment Replacement Fund 465,693.00

The following sums shall be appropriated to the following funds, said sum to be derived from revenue received from the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1976.

Total Revenue Sharing Fund . . . $710,102.00

Revenue to General Fund $710,102.00

SECTION 2. That the following amounts are hereby levied for collection in the year of 1978 and for the specific purpose indicated.

For General Fund (based on Federal Fund Appropriation)

6.35 mills . . . $617,550.00

For Police and Fire Pensions

1.65 mills . . . $160,465.00

SECTION 3. That commencing January 1, 1979, the annual salary of the City Manager of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, shall be $34,260.00.
