EMERGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 1833

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, on the 5th day of September, 1979, a hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Grand Junction to determine the eligibility for annexation to the City of Grand Junction of the territory hereinafter described; and

WHEREAS, after said hearing, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation, that all of the requirements of the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 had been met, and that no election was required under the terms of the Act;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

1. That the following described territory, situate in Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:

FORESIGHT PARK FOR INDUSTRY Filing Number 1 and vacated right of way at Southwest Corner File No. 1066315 and except right of way for F Road on the South and for 25 Road on the West,

be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

2. That an emergency exists and this Ordinance is necessary for the peace, health and safety of the citizens of the City of Grand Junction and will become effective upon its passage.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of September, 1979.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1833, and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the numbers of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 5th day of September, 1979.
