ORDINANCE NO. 1862

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A ROADWAY WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 

WHEREAS, a roadway within the City, as hereinafter described, has been petitioned for vacation; and

 

WHEREAS, such vacation has been approved by the Grand Junction Planning Commission and would not result in any hardship to the City of Grand Junction or the inhabitants thereof;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

That the roadway within the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, and described as:

 

The West 10 feet of a road and utility right of way recorded in Book 1140, Page 486, and described as follows:

 

Commencing at the Northeast Corner of Section 15, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian; thence South along the East line thereof, 917.75 feet to the true point of beginning; thence West 212 feet; thence South 49.65 feet; thence East 212 feet to the East line of said Section 15; thence North along said East line, 49.65 feet to the true point of beginning,

 

be, and the same is hereby, vacated, subject to existing utility easements, if any.

 

PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of January, 1980.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1862, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 19th day of December, 1979, and that the same was published in the Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
