ORDINANCE NO. 1908

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 6th day of August, 1980, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owner of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation and permission for a tract split has been obtained;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

Commencing at the East Quarter Corner of Section 23; thence North 00 deg. 03 min. 55 sec. West along the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 23 a distance of 316.83 feet to the true point of beginning; thence North 89 deg. 01 min. 40 sec. West 1171.66 feet; thence South 00 deg. 58 min. 20 sec. West 29.70 feet; thence North 89 deg. 01 min. 40 sec. West 132.50 feet; thence North 01 deg. 07 min. 55 sec. East 43.20 feet; thence South 89 deg. 01 min. 40 sec. East 1303.80 feet to a point on the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 23; thence South 00 deg. 03 min. 55 sec. East along said East line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23 a distance of 13.50 feet to the true point of beginning;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1980.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1908, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 6th day of August, 1980, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
