ORDINANCE NO. 1915

CONCERNING THE LICENSING OF BILLIARD AND POOL TABLES AND COIN OPERATED SKILL DEVICES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

1. That Section 5-1(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read as follows:

Section 5-1. Billiard and Pool Tables.

(b) License fee. Keepers of billiard and/or pool tables mentioned in the preceding subsection shall, for every table kept and used, pay to the city the sum of three dollars for the term of one year or part thereof; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE ORIGINAL LICENSE FEE SHALL BE ONE DOLLAR AND ONE-HALF IF THE TABLE IS LICENSED AFTER JULY 1ST OF THE YEAR.

2. That Section 5-2(c) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read as follows:

Section 5-2. Coin-operated Skill Devices.

(c) License fee, scope. The annual license fee for each coin-operated mechanical skill device shall be twenty-five dollars; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE ORIGINAL LICENSE FEE SHALL BE TWELVE DOLLARS AND ONE-HALF IF THE DEVICE IS LICENSED AFTER JULY 1ST OF THE YEAR. Such license shall be issued pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 17, Article I of this Code and shall not be transferable as to ownership. THE CITY CLERK MAY ISSUE A MASTER LICENSE COVERING MORE THAN ONE MACHINE WITH IDENTIFYING MARKER INDICATING THE LICENSING OF A MACHINE UNDER A MASTER LICENSE.
