ORDINANCE NO. 1950

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 4th day of March, 1981, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owner of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described as:

That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 31, Township 1 North, Range 1 East, Ute Meridian, lying North and West of County Highway (Horizon Drive) and that part of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 36, township 1 North, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, lying North and West of County Highway (Horizon Drive) and North and East of Government Highline Canal. Also beginning at the point of intersection of the South right of way line of "H" Road and the West line of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 31, Township 1 North, Range 1 East of the Ute Meridian from which the Northwest Corner of said Section 31 bears North 00 deg. 00 min. 00 sec. East 30.00 feet; thence South 89 deg. 48 min. 40 sec. East along said South right of way line of "H" Road, 200.10 feet, thence South 33 deg. 46 min. 05 sec. East 1468.89 feet to the Northerly right of way line of Horizon Drive, thence South 54 deg. 46 min. 30 sec. West along said Northerly right of way of Horizon Drive, 122.55 feet to the South line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, thence North 89 deg. 50 min. 20 sec. West along said South line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter 916.46 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, thence North 00 deg. 00 min. 00 sec. East along said West line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter 1289.87 feet to the point of beginning together with adjacent Horizon Drive right of way and except H Road right of way on North, including adjacent right of way for government Highline Canal,

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of March, 1981.
