ORDINANCE NO. 1964

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 15th day of April, 1981, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owner of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described as:

A tract of land located in a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 25; thence South 89 deg. 57 min. 00 sec. East along the North line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 25 a distance of 1299.29 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing South 89 deg. 57 min. 00 sec. East along said North line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25 a distance of 1343.81 feet to the Northeast line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 25; thence South 00 deg. 03 min. 00 sec. East along the East line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 25 a distance of 579.12 feet; thence South 89 deg. 57 min. 00 sec. West 449.19 feet; thence South 00 deg. 03 min. 00 sec. East 549.00 feet, more or less, to the North right of way line of U.S. Highway 6 & 50; thence North 69 deg. 29 min. 00 sec. West along said North right of way line 956.24 feet; thence North 00 deg. 00 min. 00 sec. East 794.73 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; together with B1/2 Road right of way on the North;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1981.
