ORDINANCE NO. 1972

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A ROAD RIGHT OF WAY AND UTILITY EASEMENT WITHIN THE CITY.

WHEREAS, the road right of way and easement hereinafter described have been petitioned for vacation; and

WHEREAS, such vacations have been approved by the Planning Commission, would not deprive anyone of access to property and would not be detrimental to the inhabitants of the City of Grand Junction;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the following road right of way and utility easement within the City of Grand Junction, Mesa, County, Colorado, to wit:

A parcel of land being in the northwest one-quarter of Section 1, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Principal Meridian, State of Colorado, being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the northwest corner of said Section 1; thence easterly along the north line of said section, distance of 330.23 feet to the northwest corner of the east one-half of the west one-half of the northwest one-quarter of the northwest one-quarter of said Section 1 being the Point of Beginning, thence southerly along the west line of the east one-half of the west one-half of the northwest one-quarter of the northwest one-quarter of said Section 1 to a point on the south line of the northwest one-quarter of the northwest one-quarter of said Section 1; thence easterly along said south line, a distance of 25.00 feet; thence northerly along a line 25.00 feet distant and parallel to the west line of the east one-half of the west one-half of the northwest one-quarter of the northwest one-quarter of said Section 1 to the north line of the northwest one-quarter of said Section 1; thence along said north line, a distance of 25.00 feet to the Point of Beginning, except for the northerly 362.00 feet of said easement. Containing 0.550 acres, more or less.
