ORDINANCE NO. 2010
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1959 WHICH WAS THE ASSESSING ORDINANCE FOR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. ST-80, PHASE A, IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1959 the City Council assessed the lands within Improvement District No. ST-80, Phase A; and
WHEREAS, certain owners of property within the district objected to the amount of assessment against their lands and appealed those assessments to the District Court in and for the County of Mesa, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the Court has made certain determinations requiring a revision of the assessments against certain of the properties within the district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:
1. That the assessable cost against the following lands be amended to read as follows:

That said amount include 6% for cost of collection and other incidentals plus interest from the date of the sale of the bonds of the district to November 1, 1981. If payment in full is made within 30 days of the publication of this Ordinance, the 6% for cost of collection and other incidentals shall not be collected. Payment ahead of November 1, 1981, shall also require an interest adjustment to the date of the payment.
All other particulars of Ordinance No. 1959 shall remain as they appear in that Ordinance.
2. A special emergency exists and the passage of this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and this Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the forgoing emergency ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1959 WHICH WAS THE ASSESSING ORDINANCE FOR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. ST-80, PHASE A, IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 2010, and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 21st day of October, 1981.
