ORDINANCE NO. 2077

 

AMENDING THE SIGN REGULATIONS TO PERMIT ADVERTISING ON BUS STOP BENCHES.

 

WHEREAS, the continued financial health of a bus system is of public concern within the City of Grand Junction; and

 

WHEREAS, revenues from advertising on bus stop benches will contribute to that financial health with the benches providing a convenience to the riding public;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That Section 5-7-3 of Chapter 32 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended by the addition of a subsection K, reading as follows:

 

"K. Bus Stop benches with approved advertising within 15 feet of a posted public Bus Stop sign."

 

PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of September, 1982.
