ORDINANCE NO. 2083

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 6th day of October, 1982, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owner of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

Beginning at a point 392 feet South of the Northeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence North along the East line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 15 to the North line of said Section 15, thence West along said North line to intersection with the Northeast line of the railroad, thence Southeasterly along said Northeasterly line of the railroad to a point West of the point of beginning, thence East to the point of beginning. Also 25 1/2 Road right of way on the East;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2083, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 6th day of October, 1982, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
