ORDINANCE NO. 2099

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 15th day of December, 1982, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owner of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

Beginning South 98 deg. 33 min. West 722.5 feet from the Southeast Corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence along the arc of a curve left radius 5660 feet distance of 134.8 feet chord bears North 66 deg. 41 min. West 134.8 feet, thence North 67 deg. 32 min. 30 sec. West 501.8 feet, thence along the arc of a curve right radius 5800 feet for a distance of 545.6 feet chord bears North 64 deg. 41 min. West 545.4 feet, thence South 14.9 feet to the North right-of-way of Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, thence South 56 deg. 34 min. East along the railroad right-of-way 848.8 feet, thence North 89 deg. 33 min. East 371.7 feet more or less to beginning;

ALSO:

Beginning at a point on the South right-of-way line of Highway 6 & 50 which point lies South 00 deg. 05 min. West 341.96 feet and West 25 feet from the Northeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence South 00 deg. 05 min. West 344.33 feet, thence North 56 deg. 34 min. West 299.15 feet, thence North 33 deg. 26 min. East 283.4 feet to the South line of Highway 6 & 50, thence along the arc of a curve right with radius of 5680 feet a distance of 110 feet the chord of which bears South 58 deg. 46 min. 05 sec. East 109.93 feet to beginning, EXCEPT, that part taken by right-of-way as described in Book 1289 at Page 506, Mesa County records.

Also adjacent Highway 6 & 50 right-of-way.

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.
