ORDINANCE NO. 2134

 

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING SECTION 20-28 OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That Section 20-28 of Chapter 20 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be repealed and reenacted to read as follows:

 

Section 20-28. Charge for license to use.

 

(a) Persons using Lincoln Park where an admission charge is made shall pay to the City a percentage of the charge made. The percentage to be determined from time to time by the City Council by resolution. Where charges, other than admission charges or in addition to admission charges, are made by licensees, the percentage shall be paid on these charges also. Where voluntary donations are taken, the same percentage shall apply to such donations. The Parks Director may impose additional charges to cover expenses of the City over and above those calculated as a part of the regular City charge.

 

(b) Whether or not an admission charge is imposed, a minimum charge, established by the City Council, for each use of the baseball field and for each use of the football field for non-athletic events will be determined by the City, taking into consideration preparation time both before and after the event.
