ORDINANCE NO. 2172
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of January, 1984, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owners of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:
Beginning at a point 1681.8 feet N of the S4 Cor of Sec 2, T1S, R1W, Ute Meridian, thence E 74.7 ft., thence S 84 deg. 05 min. E 143 ft., thence S 50 ft. to Grand Valley Canal, thence SWly along canal to the W line of the NW4 of the SE4 of said Sec 2, thence N to beginning, except road in Book 939 at Page 68;
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1984.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2172, was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 18th day of January, 1984, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
