ORDINANCE NO. 2236

AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

WHEREAS, the alley hereinafter described has been petitioned for vacation; and

WHEREAS, such vacation has been approved by the Planning Commission and would not be detrimental to the inhabitants of the City of Grand Junction;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the alley more particularly described as follows:

A 20-foot strip of land lying in and extending westerly of Block 7 of Grand River Subdivision in Section 15, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, Mesa County, Colorado, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot 1 in said Block 7; thence South 89 deg. 59 min. 25 sec. West 415 feet along the South boundary lines of Lots 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31 in said Block 7 to a point South 89 deg. 59 min. 25 sec. West 65 feet from the Southwest Corner of said Lot 27; thence South 00 deg. 24 min. 09 sec. West 20 feet to a point that is South 89 deg. 59 min. 25 sec. West 65 feet from the Northwest Corner of Lot 28 in said Block 7; thence North 89 deg. 59 min. 25 sec. East 415 feet along the North boundary lines of Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 26 of said Block 7; thence North 00 deg. 24 min. 09 sec. East 20 feet to the Beginning;

be and the same is hereby vacated, subject to easements for existing utilities.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, 1985.
