ORDINANCE NO. 2258

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 6th day of November, 1985, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, a hearing on the petition was duly held after proper notice on the 18th day of December, 1985; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

Beginning at a point which is 30 feet North of the Southwest Corner of Section 33, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Ute Principal Meridian, thence East along the North right-of-way line for G Road to the Southwest Corner of Lot 6, Block 4, Sunset Terrace Replat, thence North along the West line of said Sunset Terrace Replat to a point 30 feet North of the Northwest Corner of Lot 1, Block 9 of said Replat, thence East along the North line of said Replat to the centerline of 26 1/2 Road, thence South along said centerline to the North line of Section 2, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Principal Meridian, thence West along the North line of said Section 2 and the North line of Section 3 in said Township and Range to a point which is 220 feet East of the Northwest Corner of said Section 3, thence South to the South right-of-way line of G Road, thence West to the East line of 25 Road, thence North to the centerline of G Road, thence West along the centerline of G Road to a point 30 feet South of the point of beginning, thence North to the Point of Beginning;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of January, 1986.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2258, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 18th day of December, 1985, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
