ORDINANCE NO. 2264

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

WHEREAS, on the 4th day of December, 1985, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, a hearing on the petition was duly held after proper notice on the 15th day of January, 1986 and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

Beginning at a point on the East line of Section 2, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, which point is 741.5 feet South of the Northeast corner of said Section 2, thence East to East right-of-way line 27 Road, thence North along said East right-of-way line to the North line Section 1, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence West to the Southeast corner Section 35, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence North along the East line of Section 35, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, to a point of intersection with the Easterly projection of the North line of Block 3, 1st Addition to Bella Vista Subdivision, thence West along said North line and the North line of Lots 19 and 20 of Bella Vista Subdivision to the East line of Victor Drive, thence South along the East line of Victor Drive to the South line of Section 35, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence East along said South line to a point 40 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Section 35, thence South along the West right-of-way line of 12th Street to a point West of the point of beginning, thence East to the point of beginning;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 1986.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2264, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 15th day of January, 1986, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
