ORDINANCE NO. 2267

 

CONCERNING CHILDREN IN BARS OR LOUNGES.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That Section 19-3(a) of Chapter 19 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read as follows:

 

"Section 19-3. Children prohibited in bars, LOUNGES, card rooms; proprietor's responsibility.

 

(a) Prohibited. No PERSON under the age of eighteen (18) years shall at any time frequent, attend or be found in any BAR OR LOUNGE PORTION OF A PREMISES LICENSED TO SELL BEER OR MALT, VINOUS OR spirituous liquors BY THE DRINK (FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS ORDINANCE THE BAR OR LOUNGE PORTION BEING DEFINED AS THAT AREA OF THE LICENSED PREMISES IN WHICH THE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES ARE THE PREPARATION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES) or in any commercial establishment having card tables therein or used in connection therewith.
