ORDINANCE NO. 2288

 

CONCERNING SIGNATURES REQUIRED FOR CHECKS ON CITY CHECKING ACCOUNTS.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That Section 2-13 of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction is amended to read as follows:

 

"Section 2-13. Signatures authorized for City checking accounts.

 

Checks drawn on the various accounts of the City shall require the signature of the city manager or the finance director and either the assistant finance director or the finance office manager; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE FINANCE DIRECTOR MAY ESTABLISH A SYSTEM TO FUNCTION IN LIEU OF A PETTY CASH SYSTEM PERMITTING SINGLE SIGNATURES ON CHECKS DRAWN UNDER THE SYSTEM BY THOSE ABOVE-DESIGNATED AND OTHER EMPLOYEES."
