ORDINANCE NO. 2300

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

WHEREAS, on the ________ day of ________, 1986, the City Council was asked to consider the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the territory was eligible for annexation as it had been surrounded by the City for in excess of three years;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

Beginning at the center of Section 10, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence North along the centerline of said Section 10 659.5 feet, thence South 89 deg. 54 min. East 660 feet, thence North 77 feet, thence South 89 deg. 54 min. East 219.13 feet, thence South 24 deg. 48 min. West 73.72 feet, thence South 18 deg. 19 min. West 387.6 feet, thence South 50 deg. 39 min. East 127.20 feet, thence South 36 deg. 50 min. East 161.74 feet, thence South 49 deg. 32 min. East 129.20 feet to the South line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence West along said South line to the point of beginning;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1986.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2300, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 16th day of July, 1986, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
