ORDINANCE NO. 2312

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 15th day of October, 1986, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction considered a petition for the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation and that no election was necessary to determine whether such territory should be annexed as the petition was signed by the owners of one hundred percent of the territory petitioned for annexation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

The W2 of the NE4 of the SW4 lying Northerly of the Colorado River and all accretions thereto and the SE4 of the NW4 of Sec 24, T1S, R1W of the Ute Meridian, EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion of said SE4 of the NW4 known as Pleasant View Sub, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the NE Cor of the said E4 of the NW4 of said Sec 24, thence Westerly along the N line of said SE4 of the NW4 12.50 ft to the POINT OF BEGINNING, thence continuing Westerly along said N line of the SE4 of the NW4, a distance of 528.00 ft; thence S a distance of 825.00 ft; thence E a distance of 528.00 ft; thence Northerly to the point of beginning;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of November, 1986.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2312, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 15th day of October, 1986, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
