ORDINANCE NO. 2330

ESTABLISHING A WATER SERVICE AVAILABILITY CHARGE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That Sections 31-13 and 31-14 of Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction are renumbered 31-14 and 31-15, respectively, and a new Section 31-13 is enacted, reading as follows:

Section 31-13. Water Service Availability Charge.

The minimum water rate for the particular category established by Section 31-12 of this Chapter shall be charged monthly to property owners who have water service available to their properties, as evidenced by service lines to the property, even though water service is not presently being used by such owners if service has previously been furnished to the property at any time in the past.
