ORDINANCE NO. 2342

ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

WHEREAS, on the 15th day of April, 1987, the City Council was asked to consider the annexation of the following described territory to the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the territory was eligible for annexation as it had been surrounded by the City for in excess of three years;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the property situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

Beginning South 89 deg. 54 min. East 660 Feet from the Northwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, Section 10, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian; thence South 89 deg. 54 min. East 663.1 feet South, thence South 34 deg. 05 min. West 138.1 feet, thence South 16 deg. 31 min. West 157 feet, thence South 58 deg. 28 min. West 287 feet, thence South 24 deg. 48 min. West 184.28 feet, thence North 89 deg. 54 min. West 219.13 feet, thence North 583 feet to Beginning;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 1987.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2342, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 15th day of April, 1987, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
