ORDINANCE NO. 2343

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PERMIT FEE FOR CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION OR REPAIRING SIDEWALKS OR CURBINGS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AND RAISING THE FEE FOR DRIVEWAY CONSTRUCTION IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

1. That Section 17-108 of Chapter 17 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read:

"Section 17-108. Permit required.

A person shall, before commencing the work of building, reconstructing or repairing a sidewalk or curbing, make application and procure from the city engineer a permit therefor, which permit shall be issued only to such person that shall first have secured the license and filed the bond as required by this article, SHALL HAVE PAID A PERMIT FEE OF $30 FOR EACH LOCATION FOR WHICH A PERMIT IS SOUGHT, and shall have filed with the City engineer a correct description of the lots, tracts or parcels of land in front of which and along which said proposed sidewalk or curbing is to be constructed, reconstructed or repaired; provided further, that no such permit shall be issued by the city engineer to construct any such sidewalk or curbing until a record grade therefor shall have been established by the city engineer."

2. That Section 26-30 of Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read:

"Section 26-30. Permit fees.

The permit fee for each driveway approved by the city engineer shall be THIRTY dollars."
