ORDINANCE NO. 2345

 

CONCERNING THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS AND CORRECTING ORDINANCE NO. 2335.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 2335 is amended to read:

 

"4. Section 204 of the Uniform Building Code, a part of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, is amended to read:

 

"Section 204. Board of Appeals. THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS SHALL determine the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and provide for reasonable interpretations of this code AND SHALL CONSIST of members who are qualified by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction and who are not employees of this jurisdiction. The building official shall be an ex officio member of and shall act as secretary to said board.

 

The Board of Appeals shall be appointed by the governing body and shall hold office at its pleasure. The board shall adopt rules of procedure for conducting its business and shall render all decisions and findings in writing to the appellant with a duplicate copy to the building official."
