ORDINANCE NO. 2380

LEASING LOT 7, FORESIGHT VILLAGE SUBDIVISION FOR THE USE OF THE "FORESIGHT SOCCER FIELD"

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

1. That the City Manager and the Director of Parks and Recreation are hereby authorized, and directed, to execute a lease dated April 1, 1988, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.

2. As provided in said lease the essential terms are:

(a) Lot 7 Foresight Subdivision ("the property") is leased to the City for use as a recreational facility of the City;

(b) it is the express intent of the parties that the property, for so long as it is so used by the City, be exempt from ad valorem taxation pursuant to C.R.S. 31-15-802;

(c) the City shall maintain the property in accordance with the terms of the lease and shall indemnify the lessors and hold them harmless as more fully set forth in the lease;

(d) if lessors desire to sell this property, the City shall be afforded the first opportunity to purchase the property as more fully set forth in the lease.
