ORDINANCE NO. 2395

 

AMENDING ORDINANCE SECTION 5-1-9 OF THE DEVELOPMENT CODE OF THE CITY REQUIRING THAT A PERSON OPERATING A HOME OCCUPATION SHALL OBTAIN A PERMIT FROM THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING

 

WHEREAS, the Development Code of the City of Grand Junction at the present time does not require a permit to be issued for a person performing a home occupation; and

 

WHEREAS, such permit is necessary in order that the City may be aware of the numbers of home occupations and in order to inform the persons operating a home occupation of the City rules;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

The Zoning and Development Code of the City of Grand Junction is hereby amended by the addition of a new paragraph 6 of paragraph 5-1-9 to read as follows:

 

"No person shall initiate any activity which would constitute a home occupation, until such person has applied for, and received, a permit from the Director of Planning, or his designee."
