ORDINANCE NO. 2436

ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

WHEREAS, pursuant to C.R.S. 31-12-106, the Grand Junction City Council has the authority to annex unincorporated portions of Mesa County, Colorado, if such portions are entirely contained within the boundaries of the City; and

WHEREAS, the Grand Junction City Council hereby determines that the territory is eligible for annexation because it has been entirely contained within the boundaries of the City in excess of three (3) years; and

WHEREAS, no part of the City's boundary surrounding the enclaves described below consists solely of public rights-of-way; and

WHEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation ordinance, pursuant to 31-12-106, has been published;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the property situated in Mesa County, Colorado, and described to wit:

PARCEL NO. 1: The East Half of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian.

PARCEL NO. 2: The East Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian.

PARCEL NO. 3: Beginning at the Southwest Corner of Section 36, Township 1 North, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, thence North along the West line of said Section 36 a distance of 660.0 feet to the centerline of Chipper Drive, thence East along the centerline of said Chipper Drive a distance of 525.05 feet to the intersection of a curve, thence continuing along the centerline of said Chipper Drive along the arc of said curve to the left having a radius of 300.0 feet to the west right-of-way line of Golfmore Drive extended, thence S 00 deg. 54 min. W along the west right-of-way line of said Golfmore Drive to the South line of said Section 36, thence West along the South line of said Section 36 to the Point of Beginning, being all of the real property contained within and the public roadways adjacent to Vintage 70's Ltd. Condominiums;

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of August, 1989.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2436, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 19th day of July, 1989, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
