ORDINANCE NO. 2480

AMENDING THE GRAND JUNCTION CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING CONTRACTORS LICENSE FEES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the following amendments be made to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction:

"Sec. 21-24. License fees

The annual fee for a master plumber's license shall be fifteen dollars ($15.00). The annual fee for a journeyman plumber's license shall be one dollar ($1.00). The annual fee for a plumbing contractor's license shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

Section 7-14. License, bond required; license fee.

No person shall engage in the business of house moving, or move any building in, along, or across any public street, alley or public ground in the city, unless such person shall first have secured a license from the City to engage in such business; provided that before such license shall be granted, an annual fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) shall be paid to the city treasurer and a good and sufficient surety bond in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) be approved by the building department, said bond to be conditioned upon the faithful performance of all things required under the provisions of this article and the payment of all damaged caused in the moving of such building or part thereof.

Section 15-28. Master gas fitter's license.

A master gas fitter's license will be issued by the city clerk to all master gas fitters upon the payment of the annual license fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) to the city treasurer and upon the presentation of a certificate of approval from the building inspector showing that he has successfully passed the required examination and possesses the qualification of a master gas fitter. Such license shall expire on the last day of December in the year in which it was issued and may be renewed annually thereafter upon the payment of the annual fee."
