ORDINANCE NO. 2531

AMENDING SECTIONS #1 AND #2 OF ORDINANCE #2506 TO ALLOW WATER PROVIDERS SIX MONTHS TO PRESENT A PLAN TO UPGRADE FIRE PROTECTION FACILITIES AND FIVE YEARS TO COMPLETE THE UPGRADE

WHEREAS, when ordinance #2506 was adopted on June 5, 1991, the time allowed for water providers to comply was not sufficient, and

WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is reasonable to allow approximately six months from the effective date of Ordinance #2506 for water utilities to present the required plan and information and approximately five years to complete the required work.

THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

Section #1 of Ordinance #2506 by replacing the words "on or before March 1, 1996" with the words "on or before September 1, 1996."

Section #2 of Ordinance # 2506 is amended by replacing the words "on or before June 1, 1991" with the words "on or before February 1, 1992".
