ORDINANCE NO. 2621

AN ORDINANCE PLEDGING A PORTION OF THE VCB FUND BALANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXECUTING A LEASE OPTION AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A TRACT OF LAND FOR THE GRAND JUNCTION VISITOR AND CONVENTION BUREAU OFFICES AND TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That $72,939 is hereby pledged and set aside to make, as they may become due, the annual payment(s) of $13,200 plus inflation, as allowed by law, for the years 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997.

Said $72,939, consisting of five lease payments plus an inflation factor, is hereby pledged and set aside and shall be derived from the unappropriated fund balance of the Visitor and Convention Bureau Fund.

The purpose of this ordinance is to comply with Article X Section XX of the Constitution.

Introduced for first reading this 18th day of November, 1992.

Passed and adopted this 16th day of December 1992.
