ORDINANCE NO. 2654

 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING WITH AMENDMENTS

ORDINANCE NO. 1301 AND ORDINANCE NO. 1851 PROVIDING FOR CHARGES FOR TRANSPORTING PERSONS IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION FIRE DEPARTMENT RESCUE UNIT OR ON OTHER UNITS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, THE CHARGES IN THE CURRENT ORDINANCE REFLECT RATES ESTABLISHED IN 1980; AND

WHEREAS, SAID RATES AND CHARGES HAVE NOT BEEN AMENDED SINCE 1980; AND

WHEREAS, THE CURRENT ORDINANCE DOES NOT ALLOW FOR CHARGES TO BE CHANGED WITHOUT A CHANGE IN THE ORDINANCE.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO THAT ORDINANCES 1301 AND 1851, CODIFIED AS CHAPTER 12, SECTION 12-11 OF THE GRAND JUNCTION MUNICIPAL CODE ARE HEREBY REPEALED AND REENACTED AS FOLLOWS:

12-11 FIRE DEPARTMENT TRANSPORTATION CHARGE

 The Grand Junction Fire Department shall follow established Federal and/or State guidelines or profiles for emergency transportation fees, rates and charges.

 Fees, rates and charges for any emergency transportation performed by the Grand Junction Fire Department may be adjusted from time to time by the Fire Chief or his designee, in accordance with established Federal and/or State guidelines.

By adoption of this Ordinance and upon its taking effect, all Ordinances and Resolutions or parts thereof, in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby revoked and repealed in their entirety.
