ORDINANCE NO. 2674

 VACATING A PORTION OF THE 300 BLOCK OF

 THE WHITE AVENUE RIGHT-OF-WAY

   WHEREAS, the requirements for vacation of a right-of-way, as set forth in section 8-3 of the Zoning and Development Code, have been satisfied; and

   WHEREAS, the Grand Junction Planning Commission at their April 6, 1993 hearing recommended that a portion of the right-of-way of the 300 block of White Avenue be vacated; and

   WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the matter and the recommendation of the Planning Commission.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the right-of-way described below:

Six feet of White Avenue right-of-way adjoining a portion of Lot 23 and Lots 24 through 32 inclusive of Block 80 of the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northwesterly corner of the proposed vacation of White Avenue, which is identical with the southwesterly corner of said Block 80; thence S 87 degrees 59 minutes 13 seconds E, 226.25 feet along the northerly right-of-way line of White Avenue coincident with the southerly boundary of said Block 80 to the southwest corner of relocated alley; thence S 1 degree 55 minutes 55 seconds W, 6.00 feet; thence N 87 degrees 59 minutes, 13 seconds W, 226.25 feet; thence N 1 degree, 55 minutes, 50 seconds E, 6.00 feet to the point of beginning.

is hereby vacated.
