 VACATING A PORTION OF 15TH STREET

 SOUTH OF G ROAD

   WHEREAS, the 15th Street Right-of-Way south of G Road is 80' wide and the current adopted street standards require only 52' of Right-of-Way for a commercial street section; and

   WHEREAS, the requirements for vacation of a Right-of-Way, as set forth in section 8-3 of the Zoning and Development Code, have been satisfied; and

   WHEREAS, the Grand Junction Planning Commission as their July 6, 1993 hearing recommended approval of the request to vacate 14' of the 15th Street Right-of-Way along lot 2, Horizon Park Subdivision; and

   WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the matter and the recommendation of the Planning Commission.

   BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

   That the Right-of-Way described below:

That part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 1, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian lying southerly of G Road and Easterly of Lot 2 of Horizon Park Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 13, Page 513 at Mesa County Clerk and Recorder office. Said parcel being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the Northeast corner of the above referenced Lot 2, Horizon Park Subdivision; thence on an assumed bearing of North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East and parallel with the north line of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 1, a distance of 14.00 feet.

Thence South 00 degrees 03 minutes 03 seconds West and parallel with the east line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 1, a distance of 418.24 feet.

Thence South 89 degrees 57 minutes 24 seconds West, a distance of 14.00 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 2 of the above referenced Horizon Park Subdivision.

Thence North 00 degrees 03 minutes 03 seconds East along the easterly line of said Lot 2, a distance of 418.24 feet to the point of beginning.

is hereby vacated.
