ORDINANCE NO. 2769

 AMENDING THE SSID MANUAL

RECITALS:

The Submittal Standards for Improvements and Development (SSID) Manual was adopted by the City Council in June of 1993. As the document was used it was anticipated that amendments would need to be made based on feedback from the development community and City staff. Two changes are being proposed, one is to add a requirement for all as-built drawings and final plats to be submitted on a computer disk and the other is allowing future changes to the document by Council resolution.

The requirement for all as-built and final plat information to be submitted on a computer disk is to aid in the building of the City's computer mapping system. All such information is currently entered into the system by City staff. By requiring the disk, the information can simply be loaded into the system, greatly reducing City staff time.

As with other technical documents adopted by the City, future changes to the SSID Manual should be allowed to be made administratively, by the Public Works Director and Community Development Director. This greatly speeds up the process of adoption and allows improvements to the document to be implemented much sooner.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION THAT:

All final plat and final as-built information must be submitted to the City on a 3 1/2 " disk suitable for use with a personal computer in format compatible with DFX or DWG files; and

The Director of Public Works and the Director of Community Development shall be authorized to make future changes to the SSID Manual. Notice of those changes shall be made available to the public.

Introduced on first reading this 17th day of August, 1994.

PASSED and ADOPTED on second reading this 7th day of

September, 1994.
