AMENDING SECTION 10-1-1.D OF THE ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT CODE
CLARIFYING REVIEW PERIOD AND HEARING SCHEDULING FOR
THE BOARD OF APPEALS
Recitals:
The existing wording of section 10-1-1.D of the Zoning and Development Code is inconsistent with the required submittal deadlines and review periods for Board of Appeals items. This text amendment will clarify how soon requests to the Board of Appeals will be heard following submittal of an application. The proposed language is consistent with similar review timelines and requirements in the Zoning and Development Code.
The Grand Junction Planning Commission at its December 6, 1994 hearing recommended approval of the text amendment.
The City Council has duly considered the matter and the recommendation of the Planning Commission and finds that the amendment to the Zoning and Development Code is appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:
Section 10-1-1.D of the Zoning and Development Code is amended as follows:
D. Applications to the Board shall be reviewed at a public hearing within forty-five days from the required submittal date. Only complete submittals will be accepted and scheduled for hearing.
