 VACATING APPROXIMATELY 4800 FEET OF

27 1/4 ROAD NORTH OF H ROAD

Recitals,

 This right-of-way vacation is necessary to create a safety zone at the end of the Walker Field Airport’s main runway. The safety zone must be clear of obstructions, such as a road, in order to qualify for certain Federal Aviation Administration grant programs. New right-of-way for 27 1/4 Road is in the process of being dedicated to the City by the Walker Field Airport Authority.

 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION THAT:

 That the following described right-of-way for 27 1/4 Road is vacated:

Situated in the SW 1/4 of Section 24 and in the NW 1/4 of Section 25, all in Township 1 North, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, County of Mesa, State of Colorado, to wit:

Commencing at the Southwest Corner of the NE 1/4 NW 1/4 of said Section 25, and considering line between the Mesa County Brass Cap set for the Southwest Corner of said NE 1/4 NW 1/4 and the Mesa County Brass Cap set for the Northwest Corner of said NE 1/4 NW 1/4 to bear N 01°52’39” E with all bearings contained herein being relative thereto; thence N 01°52’39” E along the West line of said NE 1/4 NW 1/4 a distance of 779.69 feet; thence S 88°07’21” E a distance of 25.00 feet; thence N 01°52’39” E a distance of 91.96 feet to the True Point of Beginning;

thence 214.98 feet along the arc of a non-tangent curve to the left having a radius of 848.18 feet, a central angle of 14°31’21”, and a long chord bearing N 11°36’29” W a distance of 214.41 feet;

thence N 01°52’39” E a distance of 239.86 feet to a point on the South line of the SW 1/4 SW 1/4 of said Section 24;

thence N 01°51’19” E a distance of 442.03 feet;

thence 214.98 feet along the arc of a non-tangent curve to the left having a radius of 848.18 feet, a central angle of 14°31’21”, and a long chord bearing N 15°20’27” E a distance of 214.41 feet;

thence S 01°51’19” W a distance of 650.46 feet to a point on the North line of the NE 1/4 NW 1/4 of said Section 25;

thence S 01°52’39” W a distance of 448.44 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
